Anaesthesia Nurse

Be trained directly by a board-certified veterinary anaesthesiologist in one of the most unique anaesthesia teams in Australia. Every skill from advanced monitoring and epidurals to ventilator management is taught by world leaders in veterinary anaesthesia. This is a rare opportunity to master the art and science of anaesthesia in a specialist hospital setting.

Skilled Specialists, Evolving Knowledge

Internal Medicine Nurse

Work closely with internal medicine specialists and be hands-on with advanced diagnostics and treatments from feeding tube placement, central lines, and urinary catheterisation to complex endoscopic and interventional procedures. VSOS is the only veterinary hospital in Australia with a dedicated Interventional Radiology Service led by a human interventional radiologist specialist, offering unparalleled training opportunities.

Surgery Patient Care Nurse

Become the trusted face of our surgical service, guiding pet owners through their surgical journey from admission and estimates to updates and discharge. You’ll work closely with our surgeons and anaesthesia team to ensure every patient and owner receives exceptional care, communication, and compassion. This is a highly rewarding client-facing role where no two days are the same.

Emergency & Critical Care Nurse

Train directly under a board-certified specialist in critical care and be part of one of only five centres in the world performing open-heart mitral valve repair surgery. Our ECC nurses play a vital role in these advanced programs and provide round-the-clock care for critical patients. Theatre and Procedure Nurse

Theatre & Procedure Nurse

Support our specialists during complex surgeries and interventional radiology (IR) procedures unique to VSOS procedures not performed anywhere else in Australia. You’ll learn about angiography, guidewires, and embolisation, working alongside specialists at the forefront of minimally invasive veterinary medicine.

Trainee Nurse / Animal Attendant

For those starting their veterinary career, we offer supportive entry-level positions within our nursing team. You’ll assist with patient care, hospital hygiene, and basic handling while learning from experienced nurses and specialists, with clear pathways toward full veterinary nursing qualifications.
