Nicole Kingston

Surgical Coordinator

Nicole

A love of vet nursing

As the Surgical Coordinator, Nicole always has her finger on the pulse when managing the busy and ever-changing work schedules of the senior surgeons of VSOS.

She began her career many years ago in the boarding kennels at Taronga Zoo. It was there she realised that she wanted to do more than just animal husbandry.

And as she continued to expand her knowledge and work experience, she knew that it was vet nursing that was her true calling.

“After working overseas for a while, I came back to Sydney and was working at the University of Sydney doing surgical nursing for about 10 years, which I really enjoyed. Then this opportunity at VSOS came up to work alongside Dr Andrew Levien, which was perfect, so I jumped on it!”

Passionate and caring

Nicole’s passion for the animals, her co-workers and her role in general is what caught the eye of the senior staff at VSOS. These attributes mirror the very values that the founders themselves bring into the business every day, making Nicole such a perfect fit at VSOS.

“Andrew’s a really passionate and hard-working person, which is really inspiring. All the surgeons are very driven with what they want to achieve. Which is really exciting as an employee because you feel like you’re part of a journey and building something fantastic.”

With three young boys and a demanding job, Nicole still finds time to regularly hit the gym and stay as active as possible. VSOS is so proud to have her positive energy flowing through the business every day.

“My job’s really exciting as I get to do different things each day… including helping clients out when they really need it.”
