Dr Maja Drozdzynska is a European and Australian-recognised Specialist in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia (ECVAA Diplomate) with over 15 years of experience in referral and academic practice in the UK and Australia. She completed her specialist residency training at the Royal Veterinary College, London, and provides advanced anaesthetic care for high-risk surgical patients, with expertise in cardiovascular anaesthesia, including cases requiring cardiopulmonary bypass.

She has a strong clinical focus on acute and chronic interventional pain management and established a multidisciplinary chronic pain service incorporating advanced locoregional techniques. Her work centres on improving perioperative stability, reducing opioid reliance, and optimising long-term quality of life for patients with complex pain conditions.

Dr Drozdzynska is actively involved in clinical research and has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in veterinary anaesthesia and analgesia, particularly in ultrasound-guided locoregional techniques. She contributed to the book of Manual of Small Animal Regional Anaesthesia and is credited with the original description of two ultrasound-guided locoregional approaches, reflecting her commitment to innovation and evidence-based practice.

Alongside clinical work, she is dedicated to education and mentorship, regularly teaching veterinarians and anaesthesia trainees in advanced regional anaesthesia and pain management.
